This session was very exciting for me not only because I love shooting boudoir, but also because this was my first outdoor boudoir session. The most important lesson I learned– outdoor boudoir requires a little bit of adventurous spirit and some bug spray! Poor Kate was a champ and ignored the bugs, mud, and (possible) poison ivy long enough for us to capture these gorgeous images.

This session was super special to me not only because it was my first homecoming, but also because it was with two people that I just adore. I’ve taken photos for Randi and Nick a couple of times before, but this was by far my favorite. These two inspire me. I just love how in love they are! It was so exciting to see them together again after a long deployment to Japan (I honestly could barely contain myself– thank goodness Randi is a friend from back home and not some complete stranger… haha). I am so, so happy for them and honored that they would allow me to be a part of their homecoming story. ♥
