This family was such a joy to work with for their Rochester in-home newborn session.
I always tell parents that we’ll follow baby’s lead, taking the time to feed or burp or change as needed. I never want them to feel stressed about keeping to a schedule. These parents allowed us to do just that. They were so laid back and trusted me to capture their family with sweet Felix just a handful of days old without any added stress or expectations of how the session should go.
We spent the afternoon in his most beautiful green and white gingham nursery, which his mama had decorated oh so thoughtfully. The sun poured in and illuminated the space, and we just captured the day as it unfolded.
What beautiful families I get to work with as a Rochester newborn photographer.
I loved taking these pictures for our sweet next door neighbors. Their yard was the perfect place to capture the whole family together, sun illuminating the path where baby boy lie on his heirloom quilt.
Outdoor newborn pictures in upstate New York can be so beautiful if an in-home session isn’t quite your style. Spring, summer, or autumn, the moments will be so very precious. And how special one day to be able to look back and remember what your home looked and felt like in this short season of life.
I met this beautiful family when I captured Grace’s maternity session. It was such a pleasure to photograph sweet baby Grayson with his big sisters, and I love that we captured them outdoors. Outdoor newborn sessions just might be my new favorite thing; there is something so wonderful about a sweet new baby and the beauty of nature all around. What could be more peaceful and serene?
