This family was just so much fun to photograph.

As a central New York family photographer, I love when all the stars align just so. On the day of this session, we got beautiful weather, a peaceful and secluded location, and of course the sweetest family. I also loved their outfits — mom is a photographer, too, so she knew just how to create the perfect combination of soft, neutral colors that would work well with our environment instead of fighting against it. For families who aren’t sure what to wear, I always send along a mood board for inspiration with lots of colors and textures that photograph well.

This session is one of my favorites because we got the most precious tender and candid moments. I didn’t pose the sweet hugs or smiles. Those were all the family’s beautiful and authentic dynamic. I simply captured them just as they are, in all their love. My very favorite way to work.
